- Sauté the garlic until it changes colour, add the shallot, tomato and red chilli
- When the tomato becomes soft, add the tofu and add little bit of water to let the tofu fully cooked
- Last, add the bean sprouts and cover the pan, the steam will make the cooking process faster
- After 2 minutes, remove it from the heat and serve it.
Add the bean sprouts and sprinkle the rest of the sauce on top. Store-bought brown bean sauce takes the work out of chopping fermented black beans in this quick and easy version of the classic Szechuan dish. Lower the heat to medium, and add the black bean sauce and the tofu cubes. The bean sprouts just need a few stirs; remove from heat immediately as they will continue to cook in their residual heat. Stir-fry on high heat to keep the vegetables from overcooking in the steam.
